The Investment Case
Every Bespoke Barrel Co. barrel offered for commission is a 53-gallon new charred oak vessel, entered at the Bardstown Bourbon Company between new and 2 years old. From there, the Kentucky climate goes to work on the spirit for as long as it takes to reach its peak — typically 4 to 6 years to become bourbon, sometimes more to reach the peak expression — evaporating a portion called the angel's share, concentrating the flavor, and deepening the color with every passing year. What remains is a rare, expertly tended bourbon, bottled the moment it declares itself ready.

Your Cost Per Bottle
As the angel's share evaporates year after year, your fixed investment is divided across fewer bottles — each one more concentrated and scarce than the last. The table below shows exactly what that means at each milestone.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry (New–2 yrs)(full volume) | — | 53 gal | 267 | $37 | — |
| 4 Years | ~15% | 45 gal | 226 | $44 | $110 |
| 8 Years | ~28% | 38.2 gal | 192 | $52 | $250 |
| 12 Years | ~40% | 31.8 gal | 160 | $62 | $500 |

Cost Per Bottle by Age
Your investment never changes — but the number of bottles it buys shrinks every year. Each bar below shows exactly what your cost per 750ml bottle becomes as the angel's share does its work.
Section I
The angel's share is the price of patience. Your 53-gallon barrel yields progressively fewer — but far more concentrated and valuable — bottles as the years pass. The chart below shows estimated 750ml bottle yield from entry through 24 years of maturation.
